Styled Session – Vintage Lace

I am so excited to have one of my favorite styled sessions featured on Borrowed and Bleu.

I had worked with Stephanie Rivet in the past as a hair and make up professional, but was very excited when she asked if she could be my model for one of my styled sessions.

I met with the wonderful girls from Details Event and Wedding Planning, and we started creating a beautiful vision about how we wanted our themed wedding session to look.

Stephanie found a stunning dress that made her look and feel like a princess at The White Peony, and we all met at the Horticulture Centre of the Pacific for the photo session .  I was blown away by how beautiful everything looked, and loved all the details that were brought together.

Make sure you check out the blog to see the photos, learn more about the vendors creations,  and read about how our styled session came together.

Thank you to all the vendors that came together to make this photo session a success.

Hollywood Styled Session

For this shoot, I wanted to create a romantic, Hollywood themed wedding session, that mixed modern and old Hollywood.  The location, A Waterfront House, was absolutely breathtaking, and our models were so clearly in love.

The brides hair and make-up, done by Stephanie Rivet, followed one of the top hair trends of this year, was in a beautiful braid, that offered a mix of simplicity and detail.

En Vied Events used soft pinks, diamonds and blacks to create an incredible table.  Silver chiavari chairs, covered in black matched the pink covered table, with a black table runner.

Chocolate Lily Floral created beautiful centerpieces for the table, which fit perfectly around the candelabras.  They provided us with a beautiful bouquet for the bride, and boutonniere for the groom.  Both were wrapped in black ribbon, and small crystals that created a very glamorous feel, not to mention the soft pink feathers which were placed throughout.

Our cake, by Lighthouse Cake Company, was simple, but elegant.  It had tiny pink flowers, pearls, black leaves, and a slight sparkly dusting.  It was a perfect complement to the beautiful table.

Our photo session ended with a beautiful flower girl, wearing Dainty Bugs Boutiques custom tutu dress.  Her crystal necklace, sweet up-do, and little black shoes completed this Hollywood themed session perfectly.

Each piece combined created a beautiful backdrop to capture this beautiful couples love.  I hope you enjoy the photos, and check out the amazing businesses listed below.

“I love you.  I am who I am because of you.  You are every reason, every hope, and every dream I’ve ever had, and no matter what happens to us in the future, everyday we are together is the greatest day of my life.  I will always be yours.”

I am so excited that this photo session was featured on the Real Weddings Blog.  I had been dreaming up a Valentines wedding session for a long time, and I was so lucky to have amazing wedding vendors to help me make it a reality!  When you think Valentines day, many sweet things may pop into your head: love, romance, chocolate, hearts, flowers and candy.  In this styled wedding shoot, pretty details include red and white stationery pieces, heart-shaped balloons, hand-decorated bottles and, of course, plenty of bright flowers and sweet treats — all topped off by pink champagne, naturally.  I am going to break this into two posts, one for details, and one for the amazing bride and groom because both aspects of this session were incredible!

Thank you to all the amazing vendors who helped make it a realityicon smile Styled Session Valentines Day Wedding

Elisita Photography – Halloween 2012

It’s amazing how I got used to not having to pick out my children’s costumes.  Every year they tell me what they want to be, and that is what they are.  With baby Ashton, it was a little different though.  First, babies and costumes, are so unbelievably adorable.  Second, Ashtons father and I both had completely different ideas as to what Ashton should be for his first Halloween… So he had three costumes!  A bee, a Tigger, and a frog.  And honestly, he was absolutely adorable in all of themicon smile Elisita Photography Halloween 2012

Dallas, my seven year old, is obsessed with this new game called skylanders, so obviously, when he was given the chance to be Spyro, he was thrilled!  Not many people knew what he was when we went trick or treating, but there were a few who guessed immediately what he was.

Gabriel, wanted to be a power ranger, a gold power ranger.  It is so fun to be able to watch a show with him that I watched as a child!  I guess they have run out of awesome shows, so they just keep re-making old onesicon smile Elisita Photography Halloween 2012

So here are our boys for Halloween!  Ashton – Bee, Frog, and Tigger, Gabriel- Gold Power Ranger, and  Dallas – Spyro;)
